Wormhole Ventures is a series of choreographic video interviews with dance artists from around the world; sharing a glimpse of their artistic practice and reality. Every now and then, we will travel through the wormhole to different paradigms with questions for dance artists who are open to this dialogue. In a short video format, the invited artists will choose a slice of their lives to share with us. The idea is to get to know one another and come to an understanding of our universal inter-connectedness through dance.
The first series of Wormhole (Ventures) was developed in 2020 during the quarantine in Tehran in dialogue with five choreographers from Canada, Iran, Lebanon, Syria and The UK, who found ways to move across waters in a time of restriction and divide.
Six years after the first series of Wormhole (Ventures), and after quite a cosmic gap, the project returns with an all-new constellation of choreographic voices from Armenia, Brazil, France, Greece, Iran and Portugal. The six artists explore their connection to dance and choreographic creation, in a simple and timely conversation with Kakeshan. The new series launched on International Dance Day and lead to a public event, titled Stargazing at K3 Centre For Choreography in Hamburg in June 2026. #makespacefordance.
