Who is she? She dances from the inside out. Her dance is like a unity, the cell continuously developing into something else. She moves from sensation, paying attention to the micro and the macro, to the smallest detail and the larger architecture at the same time. Who is she?”

João dos Santos Martins is an artist based in Lisbon whose work encompasses dance, exploring formats such as choreography, exhibition, and publishing. He studied at ESD (Lisbon), P.A.R.T.S. (Brussels), and exerce (Montpellier). He performs in works by Xavier Le Roy and Moriah Evans, among others. His practice articulates collaborative ways of making that focus on issues of transmission, labor and language. Website • Instagram
